Today, when it all started!

We live in an overwhelmingly sexist, racial and homophobic world!
The patriarchy, misogyny and sexism in the society permeates into film industry without an exception. So being a woman is challenging across industry, culture, race and civilisation (no solace even in foetus)! We are also privy to the alarming disparity in the representation of female filmmakers internationally. Less than 5%! And within that, cinematographers editors sound designers and other vital departments' representatives would be even smaller a percentage.

Through this website, I intend to bring together women who are filmmakers or are passionate to pursue filmmaking, and connect them with the world at large. Through WMF, members may collaborate and or exchange services on a project basis. Members can also be chosen for any project that is outside of WMF circle, provided their work is identified as suitable by viewers visiting WMF site. This is a national effort, and then, based on entry count per city, will be tabulated. No discrimination is entertained here. If you are a woman or if you identify yourself as a woman, that is all you need to sign up and send us your work.
